100 × independence was an international international student project devoted to the creation of posters and animations to interpret the meaning of the word independence. More than one hundred students from all continents were participating in the exhibition. They have designed visual and creative approaches not in reference to history but to challenge and question what we face in our personal life or in the contemporary society. We are happy, that students accepted the invitation and participated!

One hundred works designed by students from around the world present the voices of a young generation of designers. There are traditional posters as well as multimedia and interactive displays.
The works are accompanied by essays written by students’ mentors who took responsibility for shaping education programs in visual and multimedia communication. Their attitudes are often mirrored in the students’ projects, influencing the range and tone of contemporary designs. This polyphony, recorded in the book 100 × independence, may be also viewed on the web page.
The curators of the project are Marjatta Itkonen (Finland) & Ewa Satalecka (Poland
